Help protect your building application with a Ceiling Radiation Damper.

In the event of a fire, a radiation damper helps reduce the potential to damage your structure. If a fire were to start in one room, chances are the fire could spread to other parts of the house/building. In buildings that commonly share one attic space, like hospitals, hotels, nursing homes, and multi-family applications, a radiation damper can help mitigate this possibility until the fire can be extinguished.

The Ceiling Radiation Damper (CRD) can only be assembled with ENERGY STAR^® rated ventilation fans, fan/lights, and fans with motion/humidity sensors. The CRD is ETL listed for wood truss assemblies and it meets UL 555C and CAN/ULC-S112.2 for use in a 1-hour, fire-rated ceiling as listed. The Fantech CRD exceeds the National Fire Protection Agency standard, NFPA-90A.

NOTE: Because the CRD is in an assembly it can only be rated for 1-hour. When the CRD is by itself it can be rated up to 3-hours.
