DPV22-2 DEDPV

This product is a dryer exhaust duct power ventilator (DEDPV). It complies with CSA C22-2 No. 113-15 and is suitable for gas and electric dryers.

The DPV22-2 is a cord connected product that features a pressure switch to automatically sense when the dryer is on. A wall-mounted indicator panel with a 50-foot (15 meter) cable is provided to indicate proper operation of the exhaust fan.

This product helps your dryer run more efficiently by overcoming pressure losses caused by long or restricting exhaust duct designs and/or from the effects of high altitudes. The DEDPV can help your dryer achieve a higher exhaust rate to produce faster drying times.

Four FC 4 Mounting Clamps (#411295) and two cleanouts come with the product to ease installation of the product on the ductwork. An integrated thermal fuse is built into the DPV22-2 as a safety device and will de-energize the product in the event of abnormal exhaust temperatures.

Some helpful tips for installing the DPV22-2:

To avoid clogging lint over the exhaust fan impeller, install a DBLT 4W (#46000) secondary lint trap (not suitable for gas dryers) between the dryer and the DPV22-2. This lint trap filters the air and catches the lint, thus protecting the product and ductwork. The less lint accumulation, the better your dryer performs.

Add the DPV22-2 in the dryer duct run only when the length of the run exceeds 40 feet (12 meters) with no bends, 35 feet (10.6 meters) with one bend, or 30 feet (9 meters) with two bends. The product can be used to effectively maintain dryer exhaust in 4-inch (102mm) duct runs up to 125 linear feet (38 linear meters).
